What politicians’ wives wore during SONA 2022

The State of the Nation Address red carpet is an avenue for government officials and their wives to showcase different fashion statements.

After two years of only virtually attending the SONA, this year’s SONA will be held with in-person guests. The SONA highlighted the guests’ fashion tastes.

Here are this year’s SONA outfits of some notable politicians’ wives:

Heart Evangelista

Accompanied by her husband, returning Sen. Chiz Escudero, actress and socialite Heart Evangelista wore a shimmering Filipiniana terno.

Earlier, during the first regular session of Senate under the 19th Congress, Heart donned an all-white terno designed by Filipino fashion designer Mark Bumgarner.

Dawn Zulueta

Actress Dawn Zulueta and the wife of Special Assistant to President Anton Lagdameo, wore a traditional Filipiniana paired with a long black woven skirt. She accessorized her outfit with a pearl-embedded necklace.

Lani Cayetano

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano was dressed in a light purple Filipiniana terno paired with the same colored-face mask. She was with her husband, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
