“It’s happening in 4 months!”

Vice President Leni Robredo made this reaction after receiving an invite to the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian, at New York University.

“Just got home from a full day and this arrived right after I got out of the shower. Save the Date for Jillian’s college graduation. It’s happening in four months!” Robredo said.

Jillian is the last of her children to graduate from college.

She flew to the United States to pursue a biomolecular science degree at NYU in 2018. However, she will graduate with a double degree on Mathematics and Economics, under a scholarship.

The eldest of Robredo children, Aika, finished her Master’s studies in Public Administration as an Edward S. Mason Fellow at the prestigious Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Governance in May 2018.

Tricia, on the other hand, earned an MD-MBA degrees from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in 2020.

In Leni’s post about Jillian’s graduation, she uploaded photos of the invitation letter from NYU.

“Congratulations on your student’s upcoming graduation from the New York University! The entire university community joins you in saluting the Class of 2022 and its accomplishments,” part of the invitation read.

It also stated that the commencement exercises will be held at the Yankee Stadium on May 18, 2022 at 11 a.m.

The comments section were filled with congratulatory messages to Jillian and the Robredo family.

Some social media users also hoped that all four of them could attend the event safely.

“Keeping my fingers crossed that you will attend graduation exercises,” one Facebook user said.

In October 2021, Jillian and Kakie Pangilinan, daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, made buzz online for their interesting interaction on Twitter amid the filing of certificates of candidacy that time.

Their parents are running as a tandem for presidency and vice presidency in the 2022 national elections.

Back then, Kakie’s father has not yet filed his COC for vice president.

The rising singer-songwriter then shared screenshots of her chat with Jillian who was also in the loop about the developments in COC filing.

Kakie also happened to be in New York to study college that time.
