A jeepney driver amazed social media users with how he simultaneously used his foot to press the gas pedal and shift the gear stick.
The identity of the driver is unknown, although a signage seen by the dashboard indicates that it was taken in Pampanga, where Balibago is a barangay in Angeles City.
A copy of the video was uploaded on Facebook as well, where it has gained around one million views and more than 20,000 shares on the platform as of writing.
In the video, the jeepney driver was seen shifting gears using his right foot instead of his hand.
His ability to use his right foot to shift gears amazed Filipinos since it is normally used to press the gas pedal, not as a gear shifter.
It is to be noted, however, that it is generally unsafe to shift the gear stick using the feet since it is supposed to press the pedals.
It is never advisable to use the foot in maneuvering the gear stick.
The gear stick must always be manipulated by the hand as it offers a more stable control essential for an overall safe driving.
