Twitter confirmed that the account of the dubious photographer who drew flak online for allegedly using minors in a raunchy photoshoot got suspended.
A certain Chad Tinio, who was also accused of stealing another user’s online identity, released a photo series on Twitter that suggested rape as a form of art. Tinio also shared that one of his models was a 14-year-old girl.
Concerned Twitter users who reported his account received an update from Twitter yesterday March 26 that his account was finally suspended.
The micro-blogging platform censors posts and deletes accounts which users have reported to have violated its guidelines on sensitive content.
Among such guidelines are the ban on some forms of adult or graphic content, especially those involving children. However, such posts are not allowed in live video or on profile and head images.
Furthermore, content should also be with consent of the people who appeared on them. This means that pornography is not necessarily banned on Twitter.
“You may not post or share intimate photos or videos of someone that were produced or distributed without their consent. Media depicting sexual violence and/or assault is also not permitted,” Twitter’s guidelines said.
In the case of the sketchy artist, he used vile photos as his profile picture and header image based on the screenshots from other users.
Tinio’s Facebook is still up but is no longer active. It also seemed that he just set up an Instagram account this March.
