YouTube bestowed actress-chef Judy Ann Santos with the Silver Creator Award for reaching 100,000 subscribers on her channel “Judy Ann’s Kitchen.”

Santos shared in an Instagram post that she is extremely grateful to the whole team behind her online cooking show, as well as to her friends and family who have continuously supported her.

“Judy Ann’s Kitchen” was launched in October 2017 with Santos’ initial desire to face her “fear of talking while cooking.”

According to her, she wanted to make a difference just like her idol, British chef Jamie Oliver.

“I also want to make a difference. I would also like to teach housewives some culinary skills or even the bachelors out there who want to cook for their dates. I just want something fun to happen with my culinary skills,” Santos said in an interview.

Her cooking show has been lauded for offering what could be considered a “comedic” twist on regular cooking lessons and demonstrations.

Unlike most personalities, she is not afraid to fail and make mistakes. She is also known for her quirky commentaries, making her the subject of internet memes.

As of the moment, “Judy Ann’s Kitchen” is already in its ninth season. Her channel has over 470,000 subscribers.

The YouTube Creator Award

The YouTube Silver Creator Award — also called the Silver Play Button — is given to YouTube accounts that have reached or surpassed 100,000 subscribers.

It is the first level of their YouTube Creator Awards that aim to recognize the “extraordinary efforts” of individuals who have active YouTube accounts.

The second level is the Gold Creator Award that is given to YouTube channels that have reached one million subscribers while the third level is the Diamond Creator Award for ten million subscribers.

To qualify for an award, an account must have a clear record that has “good standing without copyright strikes.”

It must also not have previously violated YouTube’s community guidelines and its terms of service.

Furthermore, the account must solely produce original content in order to qualify. Compilations, mixes, or curation of third-party content are not considered.
