Many local producers were considered for the job, a representative from Offshore said. Grundman is the one who fits the bill.

“[Grundman is] acknowledged and regarded as one of the top engineers in the world,” the representative said.

Grundman had been nominated 10 times in the Grammy Awards while he won two “Album of the Year” titles, for mastering Herbie Hancock’s “River: Jon Letters” in 2007 and Outkast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below” in 2003.

He founded his own company Bernie Grundman Mastering Studio in California in 1984.

“Ultraelectromagneticpop!” reached the top spot of the Philippine music industry in 1993 and contains many of the band’s best hits such as “Pare Ko,” “Toyang” and “Tindahan Ni Aling Nena.”
