MANILA — The Philippine central bank has approved the government’s plan to issue between $500 million and $2 billion worth of global bonds, National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said on Thursday.
The timing of the issue would be “subject to good issuance window”, De Leon said in a text message to Reuters.
In August the government sold $1.38 billion in yen-denominated bonds, which followed the issuance of $230 million worth of panda bonds in March and an issue of 10-year global bonds in January, which raised $750 million.
