With more than 90 teams divided in different categories participating in the LGR Season 4, teams played on different venues and Anonymous, Northrack, Wednesday Group and led the weekend winners in thrilling fashion.
Christopher Ferrer finished with 17 points, including the game-winning bucket in the last two seconds of the game, to propel Anonymous to a thrilling 75-74 win over Don Papa in the Novice Division at the Northeast Greenhills gym.
Jhester Rosales went a rebound away from finishing a double-double, tallying 27 points and nine rebounds, while Jay Cabelon contributed 14.
On the same day, Northrack pulled off a similar heart-stopping 77-75 win over YP4K in the Noephyte Division of this event sponsored by Rain or Shine, Titan, NBA Store, Gatorade, BTV, Golds Gym, Zarks Burger, Bugsy’s, Kartilya, SYF and Ybalai.
Jerome Molano had a solid all-around game finishing with 26 points, none more important than his go-ahead three-pointer in the last seven seconds. He also grabbed 11 rebounds.
Over at the Golds Gym, Teledirect Wolfpack walloped Sitel 1, 75-65, as Collins Cardenas and Ian Sambasco combined for 47 markers.
At the Cloverleaf Gym, Wednesday Group blasted Quicksilver, 97-80, in the 38-and-above category.
Mario Reyes banged in 23 points, including seven triples, while Derrick Tolentino scattered 21 markers for the powerhouse Wednesday Group.
