The Blackwater Elite destroyed the hapless Kia Picanto, 118-97, to book their fourth win in the Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup Friday at Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Import Henry Walker collected 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to carry the Elite (4-4) who led by as many as 49 points to crush the winless Picanto (0-8).

JP Erram also piled up 16 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks, while Mike Digregorio added 16 points and nine boards.

KG Canaleta and Ael Banal chipped in 13 and 12 markers, respectively.

The Elite burned the Picanto right from the get-go, burying six out of seven triples in the opening frame to establish a 29-13 lead. Blackwater ended the first period with a 40-21 lead.

All in all, Blackwater made 19 out of its 39 three-point attempts–a new franchise record.

Blackwater’s lead breached the 40-point mark late in the second quarter after Canaleta sank a triple that gave the Elite a 65-25 advantage.

A Banal jumper handed Blackwater its biggest lead of the game, 86-37, in the third quarter.

The Elite played their first game since giving away Art Dela Cruz and Raymond Aguilar to Ginebra in exchange for Chris Ellis and Dave Marcelo. Their new acquisitions didn’t play against the Picanto.

Geron Johnson tallied 28 poitns, four rebounds and six assists in his PBA debut but he couldn’t save Kia from the humiliating loss.
