Superstar guard Jayson Castro erupted for 10 points in the last six minutes of action as he lifted TNT KaTropa to a 102-97 win over the San Miguel Beermen in Game Four to level the Oppo PBA Commissioner’s Cup final at two games apiece on Wednesday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Castro finished the game with 17 points while also sparking a late run by TNT which spoiled the night of Chris Ross and Charles Rhodes who were named the Best Player of the Conference and Best Import, respectively, right before the game.

Ross made eight points, five rebounds and four dimes but had four turnovers. Rhodes led the Beermen with 22 markers and eight boards but he fouled out in the fourth frame after incurring two technicals.

Joshua Smith also scored 20 points and 15 boards for TNT.

KaTropa were trailing 86-81 when Castro energized his squad with his daredevil drives. His layup at the 4:55 mark gave TNT the lead for good, 90-89.

“The Blur” made big shot after another, including a dizzying reverse layup that sent the Beermen reeling.

San Miguel couldn’t find an answer to Castro, and its woes further compounded when June Mar Fajardo, who scored 13 points and nine rebounds, fouled out with 2:02 left.

Rhodes was then ejected after being slapped with his second technical foul which served as the final blow to the Beermen’s hopes.
