The NLEX Road Warriors continued their roster overhaul, acquiring Larry Fonacier and JR Quinahan in a four-team, seven-player trade approved by the PBA on Saturday.
Meralco, GlobalPort and TNT are all involved in the latest move by NLEX which on Friday just completed a trade for Alex Mallari.
Here’s the summary of the trade:
– NLEX got Quinahan, Fonacier, Mahindra’s 2017 2nd round pick, GlobalPort’s 2019 2nd round pick
– Meralco got Garvo Lanete
– TNT got Anthony Semerad
– GlobalPort got Sean Anthony, Bradwyn Guinto, Jonathan Grey
With the trade, NLEX coach Yeng Guiao will be reunited with his old players Quinahan (Rain or Shine) and Fonacier (Red Bull). The Road Warriors are currently winless in the Commissioner’s Cup, and are hoping to turn things around by making trades.
But GlobalPort appears to have hit the jackpot in this one, only giving up Semerad and a draft pick for Anthony, Guinto and Grey who are all quality players.
