The smallest man on the floor stood tallest once again for the Boston Celtics.
Isaiah Thomas fired 53 points in an epic performance to lift the Celtics to a 129-119 overtime win over the Washington Wizards in Game Two of their second round matchup Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).
It was the most scored in an NBA playoff game since Allen Iverson scored 55 in 2003.
The 5’9″ guard scored 29 points in the last 24 minutes of the game, including hitting the two game-tying free throws that sent the game into overtime and the dagger jumper and-one in overtime to seal the victory.
Thomas also had four rebounds and four assists. He dedicated his explosive outing to his late sister who would have turned 23 on the same day.
His sister, Chyna, was killed in a car crash last April.
Boston currently leads the series, 2-0.
