The Body Shop Philippines and World Vision recently launched a campaign especially for shoppers who want to do their share for the children of Marawi. Called Play for Peace, 100% net proceeds from sales of the brand’s Tea Tree Oil transacted from December 23 to 25 will provide child-friendly spaces for the kids in Marawi.

Play for Peace aims to provide Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) to children in need. These are safe place to recover from a traumatic event and get psychosocial support through activities like games, arts, and crafts, team-building and structured educational lessons. Learners’ kits and snacks for the children are provided.

Tea Tree Essential Oil is known for its purifying properties. The Body Shop sustainably hand-harvests Community Trade organic tea tree leaves within 12 hours, so that the purest, most potent oil can be bottled. Photo courtesy of The Body Shop Philippines.

Through play therapy, kids can explore and express their difficult emotions, make sense of their experiences, and learn how to interact more positively with their peers as well as adults. The therapeutic activities will take place in safe-haven community centers, away from the weight and pressures they face day to day.

Tea Tree Oil and The Body Shop Holiday 2017 Collection are available in select The Body Shop stores nationwide. The store accepts SM Advantage Card for points earning and redemption, SM and Sodexo premium pass in all The Body Shop stores nationwide.
