From healthy burgers made from banana blossom bites, bite-size churros, to backpacks that aim to provide clean water to indigent communities, budding entrepreneurs from Colegio de San Juan de Letran recently impressed mall goers at Robinsons Place Manila with their fresh concepts and unique products.
It’s the second time that the school has collaborated with the popular mall’s Entrep Corner, a project that showcases the entrepreneurial skills of the students as they present various products they have conceptualized, created, and will be selling and promoting during the five-day activity.
Dubbed as “Negosyo Letranista 2017,” the event was held last September 11 to 15 with 84 student companies participating in the event.
Shoppers and foodies looking for something new and fresh were treated to a range of merchandise—from delightful food and drinks to stylish fashion items.
The Robinsons Malls Entrep Corner is a platform for graduating students from business-related courses to develop and hone their entrepreneurial and marketing skills. Through Entrep Corner, business students are able to put their innovative business concepts to the test through a holistic retail experience in a Robinsons Mall.
On social media, the students were able to create and execute their branding and marketing strategies for their products. Team Katada, for instance, manufactured and sold backpacks with 10% of each sale to be used for purchasing MVP water filter kits that would especially benefit kids from indigent communities.
Students behind fashion brand Appello, on the other hand, got a taste of selling their brand in a major mall. The brand, which consists of smart casuals like polo shirts, has an existing store in Malate.
But of course, foodie cravings by the mall’s shoppers were also satisfied by the unique products concocted by Letran’s future entrepreneurs.
Congrats to this year’s Negosyo Letranista participants!
