The Hub—the artspace in Escolta Street where makers and small entrepreneurs converge—has gotten a spanking new facelift, and artists are taking over to celebrate.

The creative collective is doing this with Make Lab: Group Show on Saturday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight, a day-long series of activities and other artist-related events that are sure to get everyone in a festive mood. Whatever your fancy—may it be shopping, music, food, paintings, photography, or edible art—you’ll find it this weekend in The Hub in Escolta.

Here are 5 ways to have a fun and fabulous weekend with friends and loved ones in Manila’s iconic street:

1. Shop. Saturday X Future Market by 98B COLLABoratory is back, with different handmade, locally designed and artist-made merchandise, crafts, indie clothing, and accessories up for grabs. GEN MDSE introduces Kat Medina’s found ceramic line “Twice a Vessel”, and also its spruced-up shop and meticulously-curated lifestyle products. The Hub’s resident makers have also redesigned their nooks. Check out the new digs of Rules of Raw, 1372 Designs, The Heritage Collective, Lucky Dumplings, Eucalyptus, Sa Store, and Kine Shawarma.
2. Get your art fix. 98B’s ESC Projects features Leeroy New’s “Travestries”. Visit a new exhibit at TDR (The Drawing Room) , and the 98BxEl Ranchito Artists-in-Residence team launches “Picture of a Thousand Sunsets”.

3. Drink. The Den—that inimitable coffee shop that serves native Kalsada coffee—is also celebrating its first year anniversary. They’re teaming up with the guys over at Fred’s Revolucion for “Erich’s Date”, a new coffee-based cocktail using The Den’s cold brew and Fred’s signature chili vodka. If cocktails aren’t your thing, then ask for a pint of Strong Ale, Boondocks Brewing’s latest offering, a 7.9 ABV seasonal brew with limited release, also launching that day (free samples till supplies last!).

4. Dance. Get down, rock, and groove with bands like Pie, Sleepyheads, Identikit, /, Tarsius, and Sewage Worker; and with The Hub’s favorite DJs Major Chie, Subic Bae, and BoyKillsRobot.

5. Eat. Aira Hernandez creates edible art for 98B’s ESC Projects—not to be missed! For more grub, head over to Fred’s Revolucion, Lucky Dumplings, and Kine Shawarma.
The Hub is located at First United Building, 413 Escolta Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
