The Embassy of France to the Philippines and the Firefly Brigade, Inc present the first ever Tour de Manille cycling race in the country to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and the Philippines this year.

Inspired by the common passion of French and Filipinos for cycling it also takes its cue from the famous Tour de France, which this year kicked off on July 1 and through July 23.

Tour de Manille covers a 5-kilometer route and is open to various categories. The first 300 riders will receive the symbolic Medallion Rouge (Red Medal) for courage (as inspired from the Tour de France where the Red Number is given for the most aggressive and combative rider). The top 3 winners of the races will receive medals and cash prizes.
