Where to stream: ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ lands on Disney+ July 29 after $676M global run

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” will stream exclusively on Disney+ starting July 29, following its theatrical release, which opened in Philippine cinemas on April 29.

The sequel reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, bringing viewers back to the world of Runway magazine in New York City. It continues the story of Andy Sachs, who returns to Runway as its new features editor, while Miranda Priestly faces new pressure on her fashion empire as the industry changes.

The film is directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna. It is produced by Wendy Finerman, with executive production from Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna.

After its theatrical release, the film became a box-office success, earning more than $676 million worldwide and helping the franchise cross the $1 billion mark globally. It also features major fashion brands such as Dior, Versace, Armani, Givenchy, Cartier, Dolce, Tiffany, and Fendi, along with cameo appearances from figures in fashion and music.

Critics praised the sequel, with Tony Bravo of the San Francisco Chronicle calling it “as delicious as the first film.”

The film continues the legacy of the 2006 original, which became a cultural hit for its story about fashion, ambition and the media world.
