World Beer Awards winner now on tap in Bridgetowne

Engkanto Taps (Release)

A World Beer Awards winner and a Philippine Beer Cup gold medalist are now available on tap in Bridgetowne.

Engkanto Brewery on Wednesday, June 17, opened Taps Bridgetowne, its newest location serving craft beer enthusiasts in Quezon City and nearby Pasig.

Among the beers available at the new taproom are High Hive Honey Ale, named World’s Best Beer in its category at the World Beer Awards 2024, and Paint Me Purple Ube Lager, which won gold in the Filipino Style category at the inaugural Philippine Beer Cup.

The brewery said Taps Bridgetowne is the first Engkanto Taps location serving communities in Quezon City near the Pasig border.

The opening comes after the Mabrewhay Craft Beer Festival 2026, which Engkanto described as the country’s biggest craft beer festival, as it continues efforts to grow the local craft beer community.

“Our excitement is on another level with Taps finally opening in Quezon City, one of the biggest cities here in the country. And it follows our BGC and NBS Park locations, which are turning into destinations on their own,” Ricard Basora, managing director of Engkanto, said.

“We had the pleasure of putting together the biggest craft beer festival in the country and by launching Taps Bridgetowne, we’re continuing to grow the local craft community. Everything great about the craft is here, the vibe, the people, and I’ve not even included the beer-infused cocktails and dishes to pair!” he added.

The taproom features 10 beers on tap, including core offerings such as Live It Up Lager and Mango Nation Hazy IPA, as well as limited-release brews and collaborations that highlight local ingredients.

For newcomers to craft beer, the venue also offers beer flights that allow customers to sample four different brews in smaller servings.

Beyond beer, the taproom serves signature cocktails infused with the brewery’s products, including the Sampa-Loca Highball made with Green Lava Double IPA and the Nutty & Nice-presso, an espresso martini-inspired drink made with Nutty & Nice Choco-Nut Stout.

“Since the first Taps opened, the Engkanto team has grown more together with the craft community through sharing authentic and fantastic experiences,” Engkanto founder Ian Paradies said.

“This allows us to show our passion for great local beers and our skills in curating unique drinks and different dishes, which we want to replicate and even do better at Taps Bridgetowne,” he added.

Engkanto brewmaster Michael “MJ” Jordan highlighted the taproom’s food-and-beer offerings.

“From our first ever launch of Engkanto Taps in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, I’d say the locals have found the nicest spot for beers and food,” Jordan said.

“The easygoing atmosphere, fun vibe with the staff, and great beers and food. It’s going to be another great place to chill and unwind for folks in Quezon City with Bridgetowne.”

Last year, Engkanto Taps also opened a branch in Forbes Town Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City and has another branch in NBS Park, Mandaluyong City.
