Over 4,000 photographers and videographers from across the country showcased their work at the Nationwide Photo and Video Walk (NPVW) 2025 Exhibition, held at the Ayala Museum from March 20 to 22.
The event highlighted diverse perspectives from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao under the theme “Contrasts.”
The exhibition featured images and videos capturing everyday life and familiar landmarks, from the walls of Intramuros in Manila to Magellan’s Cross in Cebu and Quezon Park in Davao.
Acclaimed photographer and curator A.G. De Mesa guided visitors through the exhibition, sharing insights into the techniques and stories behind the works.
“NPVW 2025 has truly shown how photography and videography can bring communities together and reveal stories that might otherwise go unseen,” Masahiro Uehara, President of FUJIFILM Philippines Inc. said.
“Through the theme of ‘Contrasts,’ participants captured the richness and diversity of Filipino life, turning everyday streets and landmarks into narratives full of meaning and heart.”
From thousands of submissions across 32 cities, standout works were recognized in two categories. In the Open-to-All Category, winners included Mark Albert Serrano (Luzon), Gem Almund Cañada (Visayas) and Abdel-Aziz Masjiril (Mindanao), each awarded a FUJIFILM X-E5 camera with an XF23mm F2.8 kit lens.
For the FUJIFILM Exclusive Category, Benedic Torres (Photo) and Paul Christian Catoera (Video) were honored for excellence in still and motion storytelling. Torres received a FUJIFILM X-T5 with an XF16-80mm kit lens, while Catoera was awarded a FUJIFILM X-H2S with an XF33mm F1.4 lens.
A special collectible, Fuji-san, handmade by Cebu-based artist Happy Garaje, was given to walk leaders, partners, and exhibition winners as a memento of their creativity and participation.
The exhibition celebrated not only artistic talent but also the communities and stories behind each frame, emphasizing that the soul of a city lies in how its people choose to capture it.
Looking ahead, FUJIFILM Philippines plans to continue supporting creators with the FUJIFILM Festival for the Community, by the Community, scheduled for May 2026, bringing together more photographers, videographers and enthusiasts from across the nation.
