Six Filipino creators were personally chosen by “Wicked: For Good” director Jon M. Chu and stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as winners of the “Awiting Wicked: For Good” TikTok competition.
The winning entries, submitted in pairs, featured renditions of the musical’s emotional song “For Good.” The contest highlighted best friend duos whose creativity and connection stood out to the panel of judges.
Here are the winning duos:
- Fatima Soria (@only_ftma) and Pia Casing (@piazzicato)
- Jezza Quiogue (@jezzaquiogue_) and Nowi Alpuerto (@nowialps)
- Kyle Quinco (@kwisssy6) and Tiffany Vistal (@tiffanyshanevistal)
This was also announced in a TikTok video.
“Hi, Philippines! We’re thrilled that so many of you have shared their own special versions of ‘For Good’ with the world. We’re here to tell you that we heard them and we love you all even more,” Erivo said.
“Yeah, as you have all proven you are all tremendously talented,” Grande added.
The director also thanked all those who joined and submitted their entries.
He said the three best friend duos they have chosen submitted “renditions that moved us the most.”
The six winners will have the opportunity to record their own version of “For Good,” appear in a music video, and meet the director and stars at the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore.
In a quote featured in the film’s promotional materials, a line from the musical captures the emotional theme of the competition:
“And now whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend.”
The film opens in Philippine theaters on November 19, with tickets already available for advance purchase.
