Those who missed out on the highly-watched Metro Manila Film Festival still have a chance to enjoy some of the most awarded movies this month of love in Cinematique Centres nationwide.
The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ Cinematique Centre Manila announced that it would screen four awarded films in the 2023 MMFF, which concluded last month.
These are Pepe Diokno’s “GomBurZa,” Zig Dulay’s “Firefly,” Nuel Naval’s “Family of Two” and Rado Peru and Rommel Penesa’s “When I Met You in Tokyo.”
“Firefly” won Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Child Performer for Euwenn Mikaell in the film fest.
Meanwhile, “GomBurZa” bagged the Second Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound, Best Actor for Cedrick Juan and the Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award.
“Family of Two,” on the other hand, won Best Supporting Actress for Miles Ocampo.
Lastly, “When I Met You in Tokyo” won Fourth Best Picture, Best Float, Best Actress for Vilma Santos and the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award for Excellence Award.
The movies can be watched at the Cinematique Centres in Manila, Iloilo, Davao, Negros, and Nabunturan from February 7 to 17.

The cinema said it will also accommodate walk-in audiences, subject to seat availability.
