Here are some new movies and series you can watch:
“Your Place or Mine”
Starring Reese Witherspoon, Ashton Kutcher, Wesley Kimmel, Jesse Williams, Tig Notaro, Zoë Chao, Steve Zahn, “Your Place of Mine” is a romantic-comedy film to watch.
This follows the story of best friends and total opposites Debbie and Peter who swapped homes for a week. They get a peek into each other’s lives that could open the door to love.
Not so long ago in the ’00s, Reese was a rom-com darling and Ashton was a big heartthrob. It started streaming on Netflix last February 10.
“An Inconvenient Love”
Love or career? This was what Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano‘s film “An Inconvenient Love” will tackle.
The lead character, Manny, the son of a rich businessman, is played by Donny. On the other hand, Ayef, a staff of a convenience store whose dream is to become an animator, is portrayed by Belle.
They fell in love but they agreed to set a deadline on their relationship amid Ayen’s plan to pursue her animator dreams abroad.
This movie will be premiering on Netflix on February 23.
“Ten Little Mistresses”
If you are looking for a good laugh, you should watch the murder mystery-comedy “Ten Little Mistresses” or “Sampung Mga Kerida.”
The cast members include top-billed actors such as John Arcilla, Eugene Domingo, Carmi Martin, Agot Isidro, Pokwang, Arci Muñoz, Kris Bernal, Sharlene San Pedro, Adrianna So, Kate Alejandrino, Iana Bernardez, Christian Bables, and Donna Cariaga.
The movie follows the story of a widowed billionaire, Valentin Esposo, and his ten mistresses, fighting tooth and nail to become his new legal wife.
The film is set to stream on Prime Video a day after Valentine’s day or what director Jun Robles Lana called “araw ng mga kerida”.

“Dear David”
This unconventional coming-of-age story follows the story of Laras (Cinnamon), a straight-A high schooler whose life is turned upside down when her risqué fantasy blog about her crush David (Mahira) is leaked to everyone in school.
The film’s cast members include Shenina Cinnamon, Emir Mahira, and Caitlin North. This Indonesian film is available for streaming on Netflix.
“Our Blooming Youth”
The historical drama series is about a crown prince with a curse and a noblewoman played by Park Hyung-sik and Jeon So-nee, respectively. They were falsely accused of committing a murder.
This series is directed by Lee Jong-jae, who is also behind the historical drama “100 Days My Prince” starring EXO’s D.O. and Nam Ji-hyun.
“Single’s Inferno”
For those interested in dating shows, you may consider watching “Single’s Inferno.”
In this Korean dating show, singles are looking for love while living together on a remote island called “Inferno.” To head to “Paradise,” they must find another contestant to match with.
There are currently two seasons available for streaming on Netflix. The dating program will have a third season, the global streaming platform announced on February 10.
“Empire of Light”
“Empire of Light” starring award-winning actors Olivia Colman and Colin Firth will have a special screening in selected Ayala Malls Cinemas on February 13 and 14 for Valentine’s Day.
Set in and around a faded old cinema in an English coastal town in the early 1980s, it follows Hilary (Colman), a cinema manager struggling with her mental health, and Stephen (Micheal Ward), a new employee who longs to escape this provincial town in which he faces daily adversity.
Both Hilary and Stephen find a sense of belonging through their unlikely and tender relationship and come to experience the healing power of music, cinema, and community.
Those who will miss watching the movie at the advance screening dates may still watch it starting February 22 in Ayala Malls Cinemas.
