Who’s up for namjooning day?
The University of Santo Tomas (UST) museum will launch an exhibit titled “UST goes Namjooning,” inspired by the term popularized by BTS rapper and leader Kim Nam Joon or RM.
The term “namjooning” was associated with RM’s fondness for visiting museums and hanging out in nature.
Through Namjooning, the museum seeks to share the university’s history, culture and heritage.
During the exhibit’s opening, the university’s music students will welcome guests with a BTS-inspired performance.
The museum also prepared several interactive activities such as a freedom wall and games, which BTS members first played in the group’s variety show.
Guests may pre-register for scheduled Namjooning photoshoots in selected spots on campus where museum staff will take polaroid shots.
The specific details about these activities will be posted on the UST Museum’s Facebook page.
The exhibit will be open to the general public from September 13 to October 21. Guests may visit on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Entrance is free for UST students, faculty, support staff, alumni with ID, senior citizens and persons with disabilities with valid IDs. Tour guides, teachers with school tour groups, and constituents of the International Council of Museums may also visit for free.
Meanwhile, the entrance fee for the general public is P50 while non-UST students with ID will have to pay P30.
