P-pop boy group SB19 was among the artists who made it to Twitter Philippines‘ top music-related handles and list of top hashtags around music in the country.
The microblogging platform revealed that the multi-awarded quintet landed the “Top Music-Related Handles in the Philippines” and the “Top Hashtags Around Music in the Philippines” lists.
Data for both lists were culled from Twitter’s internal data from May 31 to June 1, 2022.
SB19 is considered the first Korean-trained Filipino idol group to earn international recognition following several Billboard chart appearances.
Some of the group’s hits are “MAPA,” “Bazinga,” “What?” and “Go Up.”
Meanwhile, other artists who made it to the “Top Music-Related Handles in the Philippines” list are K-pop sensations BTS and ENHYPEN, artist Donny Pangilinan and Grammy award-winning singer Taylor Swift.

The data were released on Twitter’s celebration of World Music Day last June 21 as the microblogging platform brought back its “#TweetYourMusic” campaign to highlight local musicians and music communities across Southeast Asia.
The platform said that the music community alone contributed to 4.3 billion online conversations from June 2021 to May 2022 across the Asian region.
It added that in the Philippines, there were almost 1.4 billion tweets around music which indicated how much Filipinos enjoy jamming.
“Now more than ever, people crave connection with one another and Twitter has helped bridge the gap among fans and also between artists and fans,” Carl Cheng, Twitter’s head of entertainment partnerships in Southeast Asia and Greater China, said.
“With 4.3 billion Tweets on Twitter in Southeast Asia around music alone and 1.4 billion in the Philippines, music is a unifying force that connects people across the region,” he added.
