The ex-husband of Isabel Granada has joined her present partner in Qatar to watch over the actress and pray that she awakens from her present comatose state.

In a post on his Facebook page, Jericho Genaskey Aguas — the father of the actress’ teenage son, Hubert — said he flew to Qatar last Monday, October 30, shortly after securing his visa. He thanked Isabel’s current partner, Arnel Cowley, for understanding why he had to be there.

“Ako po ay tutungong Qatar para suportahan at alalayan ang aming anak at si mama gwapa. I am in constant communication with Isabel’s current partner, Arnel , and told him for the record that I have no intention on stepping on his shoes (if ever he feels uncomfortable with me being there). I am there for my magLola (Hubert is only 14)…And of course to contribute whatever I can for the revival and recovery of Isabel.”

Aguas also expressed his gratitude to his own current partner, actress Jaycee Parker, for being understanding of his situation as well.

“At the same time, I thank the understanding of my current partner as well. Jaycee Parker I love you so much.”

Aguas’ post accompanied a photo of him and Cowley together.

Isabel was in Qatar on a business tour of the Middle East with Cowley, her partner of two years, when she lost consciousness on October 24 during a meet and greet event. She was later reported to have suffered internal bleeding due to a brain aneurysm.

Actor Chuckie Dreyfus, who was Isabel’s loveteam partner during their teens, continues to post updates on the 41-year-old actress, who was already in stable condition but had yet to regain consciousness.

“Hindi pa po nagigising. Comatose. The family is still praying that Isa wakes up. Jericho, mama guapa, Hubert (Isa’s only son, and Arnel (Isa’s 2nd husband) are all there in Qatar. Maraming support from the Filipino community in Qatar. Philippine and Spanish embassies have been assisting as well,” Dreyfus told InterAksyon.

Isabel’s mother, Isabel Vilarama also known as Mama Guapa, is Spanish. Her family was reportedly seeking a second opinion from another doctor even as they continued to ask for prayers from friends and fans.
