Iza Calzado is finally engaged.
The 35-year-old actress has accepted the proposal of British entrepreneur Ben Wintle, which took place in Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay on Sunday in the presence of friends and family members that included fashion designer Rajo Laurel and fellow actress Karylle.
As shown in the photos and videos posted by Rajo and Karylle, Ben, the creator of the popular restaurant guide app Booky, was on his knees when he made the proposal. A separate post by Iza’s manager, Noel Ferrer, revealed what Ben would have done if Iza had said no.
Ferrer also posted another video of Ben expressing his feelings towards Iza in Filipino.
The proposal seems to be the culmination of an eventful year for Iza, who headlined two horror thrillers “Ilawod,” and “Bliss” and delivered a well-received performance as the antagonist of the recently concluded teleserye, “A Love to Last.”
No date has been set for the couple’s wedding. Ben and Iza met in 2011 during a magazine event.
