Less than 24 hours after tweeting that he would love to have a copy of the Philippine vinyl pressing of their 1985 song, “Cross My Heart,” English musician Ben Watt of the famed duo Everything But The Girl happily thanked everyone who responded and shared the good news.
Thanks to all in Philippines, who jumped at my tweet about rare EBTG 7″. Unexpected response! Copy already on its way to me. Thank you.

Watt’s initial tweet got numerous replies, and it looks like he found what he was looking for courtesy of Filipino fan Jamie Lim.
Trending here that ur looking for a Cross My Heart 45. You don’t know how popular EBTG are here. I have a copy that I’d love to let you have pic.twitter.com/pN7CizW0zE

His thank you tweet also got several replies.
You good, mate? I guess I’m keeping mine for another 30+ years pic.twitter.com/WFTIUm9857

Tracey Thorn, the other half of EBTG, also tweeted her surprised reaction on the existence of the single.
Look at this lovely little record we never even knew we’d made hahaha! https://t.co/tEdY7YfFoV
— Tracey Thorn (@tracey_thorn) July 26, 2017
A fan noted that Thorns’ first name was misspelled in the vinyl credits.
I pointed out to Ben yesterday that your name was misspelled! He replied “that’s because I was the important one”! Haha!

Because of Watt’s tweets, a longtime clamor for EBTG to perform in the Philippines was re-ignited.
I hope that EBTG comes to Manila for a concert soon. You’ve got thousands of Filipino fans since the 80s.

Although married and still recording and performing as solo acts, the duo has not performed together as Everything But The Girl since 2000. Thorn, however, has hinted that they may perform again someday.
