With their entry in this year’s K-Pop Cover Dance Festival, the all-girl Philippine dance group Y.O.U. are hoping for the full support of Filipino K-Pop fans in the competition.
Y.O.U, an all-girl dance group formed only last December, is the Philippines’ only delegates to the global dance competition. Inspired by the South Korean girl group I.O.I. (Ideal of Idol), Y.O.U. is currently composed of Czarina Gagarin, Jeanneaiko Calderon, Angelou Villanueva, Jen Igsi, Clarissa Saet, Christine Raguero, and Jocel Gaoat.
These talented young ladies will be competing against Korea’s OVERFATE (men) and Vely (women), Hong Kong’s Friends Junction Boys, Indonesia’s A.C.E.S., Japan’s Navi, Mexico’s CLUE, Russia’s X.east, USA’s The First Bite and Vietnam’s SuperNova.
The semi-finals of the K-Pop Cover Dance Festival will be held on Friday, June 2, starting at 4PM, Manila time. The successful teams will battle it out at the finals on June 3 and will be broadcast Live on Twitter via Periscope.
