Cosmopolitan, a magazine that dares to explore every inch of being a modern woman, marked its 20th year in the Philippines with a ‘90s-themed celebration at Black Market in Makati last week.
Guests came in their ‘90s-inspired outfits to dance to music from that era—from Britney Spears’ “Hit Me Baby One More Time” to Chumbawumba’s “Tubthumping,” and to sing along to the occasional Foo Fighters song.
The event was attended by a bevy of celebrities, including Cosmo cover girls of the past and present. Among those spotted were the ever-stunning Alice Dixson, former MTV VJ and actress Donita Rose and sexy-actress tuned radio host Francine Prieto.
Kris Bernal, who broke the Internet recently when her steamy photos as FHM Magazine’s May cover girl appeared online, once again proved that she was serious about shedding her wholesome image by wearing a cute yet sexy ensemble.
Also in their sexiest best were Andrea Torres, Sam Pinto and influencer Rona Ofiana, huddled together in one corner but gamely posing for the cameras.
Gabbi Garcia was also present, as well as couple Maxene Magalona and Robby Mananquil, who got engaged only in February. Filipino-Spanish actor and model Gil Cuerva was seen with girlfriend and fashion blogger Kim Cruz.
Then there were the pageant winners: Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2017 Elizabeth Clenci and Ms. Universe-Philippines 2017 winner Rachel Peters, who arrived later in the evening. Even police officer and Mister International 2014 Neil Perez was seen partying with friends.
