Just two days after belying speculations that her husband, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, was having an affair with fellow lawmaker Senator Risa Hontiveros, Sharon Cuneta took to Facebook again to post a photo of herself together with daughters KC Concepcion, Frankie, Miel, and son Miguel.

What made the Megastar’s post particularly intriguing was the message that accompanied the photo. “I miss you…the only four people in the whole wide world I would give my life for,” Sharon, who is currently in the United States, posted.

After earlier posting that “[t]here is no truth to the rumors going around that Kiko and Sen. Risa Hontiveros are having an affair (or held hands),” referring to a manipulated photo of the two senators holding hands, the non-mention of Senator Kiko as among the people she would give her life for has been interpreted by not a few netizens that Sharon’s marriage is on the rocks.

Although she denied that her husband was having an affair, Sharon also earlier posted that if she is “indeed going through anything now, IT DOES NOT INVOLVE A THIRD PARTY.” She added that just like in her first marriage with actor Gabby Concepcion, she will not discuss her marital problems, if any, in public.

“Don’t worry about me. God made me in my Mommy’s tummy to be super strong. I know that. Remember what my Daddy said, ‘Iba ang mabait sa tanga?’ That sums it all up,” she further posted.

This is not the first time, however, that Senator Kiko has been rumored to be having an affair. The senator has been rumored to be carrying on an extra-marital relationship since 2007. In 2010, he denied that he fathered an illegitimate child and called such rumors the handiwork of political opponents.

In 2014, Senator Kiko again declared on national TV in an interview with Solita “Winnie” Monsod, “I’ve never been unfaithful…that’s true.” He noted that such rumors would normally surface during elections when he is running for public office.

The latest round of speculations on the status of the couple’s marriage actually started with a post Sharon made last week that went, “Sometimes, the girl is away, and just doesn’t want to go back home anymore.”

But while Sharon was categorical in saying that whatever is happening with her right now does not involve her marriage, what she did admit in public is that she is having financial problems.

“I owe so much money (on very good investments not stupid stuff) and I have NO ONE IN THE WORLD TO HELP ME. I am probably the poorest, most cash-strapped billionaire you know (!). Etc., etc., etc.” (By the way, all my utang is for very prime real estate investments. Nothing else.),” went another of her recent posts.

She assured fans and supporters not to worry as she has enough cash to pay for everything she owes although she joked that she may not be able pay her ransom right away should she be kidnapped.

“Just please don’t kidnap me. Kasi all my cash is nakalaan for my pambayad utang, and wala po akong maibabayad sa ransom kundi titibagin pang cemento at bakal!,” she concluded.
