Amid continued online criticism of her relationship with Letran Knights guard Chad Gammad, PBA courtside reporter Apple David revealed the term of endearment the couple uses for each other.

During a recent TikTok live session, Apple shared that she and Chad call each other “baby” both in private and in public.

“‘Baby’ ‘yung tawagan namin. Nagagalit pa s’ya ‘pag tinawag ko s’yang Chad. Dapat ‘baby’,” Apple said.

She added that the nickname remains the same even when they are around other people.

“Call sign namin ‘baby’, even in public, kahit nand’yan pa ‘yung coaches n’ya, kahit nand’yan ‘yung teammates n’ya,” she said.

Apple’s remarks come weeks after she appealed for understanding and respect amid online criticism surrounding her relationship with the 18-year-old basketball player.

The 33-year-old courtside reporter previously defended her decision to pursue the relationship, saying their connection developed naturally despite their age gap.

“Masama bang bigyan ng chance ‘yung… nag-click eh, anong gagawin ko?” Apple previously said.

“Nag-click eh! What am I supposed to do?” she added.

The relationship has sparked debate on social media, with some users questioning the 15-year age difference between the broadcaster and the collegiate athlete, while others argued that both are consenting adults.

Apple has reiterated that she rejects allegations of grooming tied to the relationship, which she has publicly confirmed.
