After years of lighting up the Filipino music scene, iconic group Masculados is making a comeback, this time with a renewed mission to capture the hearts of a new generation.

The all-male singing group, composed of Chard, Robin, Nico, David, Enrico and Orlando,  has signed once again with Universal Records, the label that first introduced them.

Universal Records Executive Vice President Ramon Chuaying expressed excitement over the group’s reunion with the label.

“We are glad that Masculados is coming back to their home label. We shall be working on new songs with Masculados, and we look forward to delivering more hits. Yung mga millennials and Gen Z, gusto nating malaman nila yung kasikatan ng Masculados,” Chuaying said.

For Masculados, the return is not just a nostalgic trip but also an expansion of their reach.

“Looking forward kami sa mga projects ulit, kasi dito nagsimula ang mga songs namin at dito naman nakilala rin ang Masculados,” the group said.

“Ang saya andito ulit kami sa original na bahay nmin ang Universal Records Philippines. Panalo,” they said in a Facebook post.

“Grateful to be back where we originated at Universal Records Philippines and a privilege to sign a contract with our bosses, hoping for your full support on our new chapter.
To God be all the glory always and forever in Jesus name,” the group also said in a separate post.

Masculados also teased fans with promises of their signature performances, including  “100% kaldagan” in upcoming shows.

“Let’s go mag-budots at kaldagan na tayo,” they said.

Universal Records Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go also shared that fans can get a taste of the group’s fresh content. Following the signing, the label released a new budots version of their hit “Jumbo Hotdog,” remixed by the internationally-acclaimed DJ Love (Sherwin Tuna) from Davao City, who popularized Budots.

Dy said this is just one of the “many pasabog” from Masculados and Universal Records.

Thr group was formed in 2003.
