Radio DJ Nicole Hyala reacted to a humorous post suggesting she is a “proud mom” of Pinay tennis ace Alex Eala.
On Saturday, September 6, the “Love Radio” host shared a screengrab from “Box Score PH,” an NBA-fcoused page that posted about her and Alex.
The image featured a side-by-side photo of Nicole Alex, the rising tennis star making waves on the international stage.
“Love Radio DJ Nicole Eala is one proud mom of Alex Eala,” Box Score PH said.
Nicole saw the post and reacted.
“As an athletic mom. Eme! Hahahaha,” she joked on her Facebook account.
The post plays on the similarity between Nicole’s radio name, Hyala, and Alex’s last name, Eala, which sound alike when spoken aloud.
Many social media users found the post and Nicole’s amused reaction entertaining, with some joining in on the playful comparison.
“Hahaha! Tawang-tawa ako teh,” a Facebook user commented.

The post was also spotted by Nicole’s radio station.

Nicole got her radio name when she applied to Love Radio, where her on-air persona was created, including her now-familiar screen name.
According to her, the name “Nicole Hyala” was chosen because it was catchy and easy for listeners to remember.
Meanwhile, Alex is the daughter of Rizza Maniego-Eala, a former national swimmer, and Michael Eala.
She made history by securing her first career title in a WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) event, defeating Hungary’s Panna Udvardy in the WTA 125 Guadalajara Open on Saturday night in Zapopan, Mexico.
It marks the first-ever WTA championship won by a Filipino athlete.
