“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Big Winner Mika Salamanca launched her first children’s book, “Lipad,” with an event held on Monday, September 1.

She shared photos during the launch on an Instagram post.

“Finally, the story closest to my heart sa mga sinulat ko ay nandito na. Surprise!” Mika wrote.

The Kapuso artist shared that she has been working on the book with her dream team since her second day out of the PBB house, also known as Bahay ni Kuya. She was crowned Big Winner on July 5.

“Hindi naging madali, pero every step was filled with love, hope, and faith. And now, hawak-hawak ko na siya. Something that used to live only in my heart is finally real,” Mika said.

“I keep reminding myself to believe na tatanggapin nyo rin ito with the same love and warmth na binuhos ko/namin dito,” she added.

The Sparkle artist, now author, said her book is meant for readers of all ages, not just kids.

“Kahit anong season ka ng buhay mo ngayon, I know it will find its way to your heart and give you a little resolution. Kaya sana habang binabasa nyo siya, maramdaman nyo rin yung same magic that carried me through,” Mika said.

“Sabay-sabay tayong lumipad, and may we never stop flying,” she added.

Mika then received warm wishes online.

“So proud of you,” her Big Winner duo, Brent Manalo, commented.

“Congratulations Mika. Keep using your platform for good,” “PBB” host Bianca Gonzalez Intal said.

“Congratulations Mikaaaaa,” Ivana Alawi wrote.

“Thank you so much, Mika. I enjoyed drawing this book and for you. Really grateful to be part of this,” her book illustrator, Jewelle Villarisco of Jewies Art Space, commented.

“Napakatalented na big winner,” another online user said.

Mika’s Instagram post has so far garnered 64,400 likes, 1,002 comments, 1,916 reposts and 405 shares.
