TV host Robi Domingo and actor Donny Pangilinan issued an explanation addressing a trending video during the former’s wedding party.
The video featured actress Kathryn Bernardo dancing with content creator and columnist Rose Fausto, one of the godmothers of Robi and non-showbiz wife Maiqui Pineda.
The wedding took place on Saturday at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan.
Among the celebrity guests were Kathryn and Donny.
In the video, the actress can be seen dancing with Rose when she gets approached by Donny.
The actor taps her and then exchanges some words for a while.
Some clips suggest he was mentioning soft drinks.
Kathryn then goes back to her dancing with Rose.
A social media user saw the clip and tagged Donny.
“hi @donnypangilinan, ganto ka pala ‘pag interested ka sa babae,” she wrote with a closed-mouth emoji.
Robi saw the post and immediately shut down the implications of intrigue.
“Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please,” the TV host responded with a finger heart emoji.
“Also, being the groomsmen, @donny and @Espanto2001
helped us out in taking care of all of the guests,” Robi added.

In a follow-up comment, Robi acknowledged that he tagged the wrong Donny and explained in jest that he was not yet done with the laundry when he initially reacted.
“Sorry wrong tag, @donnypangilinan. ‘Di pa ako tapos maglaba. #HousebandDuties,” the newlywed said with a grinning-with-sweat emoji.
Donny also explained the context behind the viral video in a press conference for his upcoming film “GG (Good Game),” an esports drama.
“Siyempre, wedding ng friend namin ‘yon. We had a great time. Lahat naman kami friends sa showbiz. Binabantayan namin ang isa’t isa. Ayun lang ‘yon,” the actor was quoted as saying.
“I think, for me, it’s just having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat. Okay kami. Ginagawa namin ‘yung trabaho namin and that’s the most important thing,” Donny added.
Donny is part of the “DonBelle” tandem, which has been dubbed the “New Gen Phenomenal Love Team,” with actress Bella Mariano.
Meanwhile, Kathryn previously admitted breaking up her 11-year romance with former on-screen and off-screen partner Daniel Padilla.
