‘I poured my heart out’: Michelle Dee shares advocacy video for Miss Universe 2023

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee invited her fellow Filipinos to vote for her advocacy video as she competes in the 72nd edition of the prestigious global pageant.

Michelle on Thursday, October 25 shared the video which requires delegates to share a video entry in the pageant where they talk about a cause that is important to them as part of the Miss Universe competition requirements.

The 28-year-old Filipina beauty is advocating for autism and its awareness.

In her video, Michelle said that autism acceptance, inclusivity, and empowerment are “very close” to her heart. She has two brothers on the autism spectrum.

She added that acceptance, inclusivity, and empowerment are the three foundational pillars of creating a more inclusive and sustainable world.

“We live in a world where every voice should matter and every individual is given [the] opportunity to live a fulfilled life. Let’s be the voice for millions of families and individuals that don’t have one — together,” the Philippine bet said in her Instagram post.

“I poured my heart out into this video — from the script to every little detail of its execution. I want to thank my team for ensuring I don’t go through this journey alone and for sharing the same passion I have for my lifelong advocacy,” Michelle said.

The beauty queen said that while they were required to make a three-minute video, she said she had “so much more” that she wanted to vocalize.

“With the help of @missuniverse, I know we can truly make the greatest impact across the globe. To my @autismphils family, thank you for trusting me to bring our cause to the global stage once again. It won’t stop here because we have a long way to go,” she said, tagging the accounts of the pageant and the Autism Society Philippines.
