KC Concepcion said that her wish of having a “complete family” will only be a “fairy tale” but is thankful for the “silver linings” in her life.
The actress, the only daughter of “Megastar” Sharon Cuneta with actor Gabby Concepcion, took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the upcoming reunion concert of her parents on October 27 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena titled “Dear Heart.”
“Sometimes talaga, a fairytale will remain as a fairytale na lamang… Pero, that’s okay!” KC wrote on Tuesday, October 24 with a heart hands emoji.
“Thankful ako sa mga ‘silver lining’ natin in life (sparkles emoji) Imagine, 3 days na lang at magsasama na sila Mama and Papa in a musical celebration after so many years… May ganito pa palang pwedeng mangyari!!!” she exclaimed.
“Fairy tale come true pa rin naman, ‘di ba?” KC added with emojis of a kissing face and glowing star.
The actress also posted some of her old pictures with them, along with a letter she wrote to her mother when she was just a child. It reads:
Dear Mommy,
I hope I can go with you now. I [love] you so much. I will write you always again, okay. Sana papa stays with us so we will be a complete family like what you said in your letter. I love you so much talaga, okay!!!!!

Gabby saw her post and commented, “(heart emoji) u, my baby.”
While others were also touched, some sympathized with her dream to have a “complete family.”
“‘I hope Papa will stay with us so we will be a complete family like what you said in your letter. Ang… sakit,” an Instagram user commented with a broken heart emoji.
“Ramdam ko rin [‘yung sakit],” another user responded.
Sharon and Gabby first starred in the feature film “Dear Heart” in 1981 and then became a popular pairing on- and off-screen.
They initially had a secret civil wedding on July 23, 1984, days after Gabby surprised her with rings in the backstage of Araneta Coliseum (now Smart Araneta Coliseum).
At that time, the “Megastar” had dress rehearsals for her concert “Sharon Solo With The Boys.”
The church wedding followed at the Manila Cathedral on Sept. 23, 1984.
Sharon revealed that KC was a honeymoon baby.
By 1987, Sharon and Gabby were legally separated. Six years later, their marriage was annulled.
