Actress and yoga instructor Maxene Magalona shared a throwback video of her father, late rapper Francis Magalona, performing a freestyle rap during a car ride with her.
The eldest Magalona child on Tuesday, October 24 reposted a video sent to her by an Instagram user which featured the “Master Rapper” rapping while driving.
It had lyrics that go: “Look at Maxene, she’s breaking out into a smile / She’s trying to laugh, trying to get out of this / ‘Cause she can’t beat the one and only Francis!”
“Rest in peace, Papa,” Maxene said in the reshare with a smiling-face-with-hearts emoji.

The video was posted by a TikTok user who shares content related to the Philippine rap icon.
Other personalities also expressed their reaction in the comments of Maxine’s reshare.
“Grabe yung happiness mo, sizzzy,” actress Angelica Panganiban wrote with a heart-faced emoji.
“Soooo beautiful,” broadcaster Karen Davila commented with heart emojis.
Hosts Mariel Padilla and actress Ana Abad Santos likewise commented similar emojis on the post.
Years after his death, Maxene’s father was once again dragged into the headlines after former flight attendant Abegail Rait claimed to have been in a relationship with the rap icon.
Abegail said that she met Francis when she watched “Eat Bulaga” live, where he served as a co-host.
She claimed the rapper sought her number after she watched the show. They then started their relationship that supposedly produced Gaile Francesca Rait or “Cheska,” a 15-year-old aspiring artist whom Francis himself allegedly named.
Abegail also claimed she and Francis were already in a relationship when the rapper found out that he had cancer. It was presumed that Cheska was only six months old when the rapper succumbed to leukemia on March 6, 2009.
Concert producer Robby Tarroza also claimed he was a witness to Francis and Pia Arroyo Magalona’s alleged “fights and bugbugan” when the rapper was still alive.
Francis has six children with Pia, namely Maxene, Frank, Saab, Elmo, Arkin and Clara.
Pia is also the mother of Unna and Nicolo, her children from her previous partner before meeting the rapper.
She has not yet reacted to Abegail’s claims about Francis.
