Chris Hemsworth will be visiting Manila on June 5.
This was announced by Netflix on Thursday evening.
Chris, known for playing Marvel’s “Thor,” will visit the country as part of the “Extraction 2” Global Tour, with Manila as its first stop.
Netflix revealed that Chris would return as Tyler Rake in the movie directed by Sam Hargrave.
Sam will join Chris for the APAC red carpet premiere of the highly anticipated action and adventure sequel.
Chris invited his fans in a video released by the streaming giant.
“I’ll be flying to Manila this June for the premiere of ‘Extraction 2’ where I play Tyler Rake. I don’t want you to miss out so please come join me. It’ll be fun,” the blockbuster actor said.
“Can’t wait to see you all there soon. Take care,” he added.

The “Extraction 2” global tour will also make a stop in the following countries:
- Madrid, Spain
- Berlin, Germany
- Prague, Czech Republic
- New York, USA
- Sao Paulo, Brazil
Meanwhile, Chris will reunite with director Sam for this sequel to the first movie. Joe and Anthony Russo’s Agbo produced “Extraction 2” while, Joe wrote it.
Chris will return as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held after barely surviving the events of the first film.
Golshifteh Farahani, on the other hand, reprises her role from the first film, with Adam Bessa. They will be joined by co-stars Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.
“Extraction” was based on the graphic novel “Ciudad” by Ande Parks. Its first film was released in 2020.

The sequel, on the other hand, is from a story by Ande Parks, Russo brothers, with illustrations by Fernando León González.
Aside from Russo brothers, “Extraction 2” is also produced by Chris, Sam, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot and Patrick Newal, with Jake Aust, Benjamin Grayson, Steven Scavelli, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as executive producers.
