Commentaries of veteran actor Jaime Fabregas in the game show “Family Feud Philippines” on its November 17 episode earned the attention of the local online community.
The actor was a contestant for the Fabregas family, which had a match with another showbiz royalty, the Eigenmann family.
In the game, they were asked the following question by game master Dingdong Dantes: “Sino ang nakatira sa mga exclusive subdivision at villages?”
The contestants were supposed to give four answers.
“Mga politiko,” Cathy Eigenmann answered, earning praise from her family, particularly Gabby Eigenmann who hollered, “Good answer! Good answer!”
She then said that the rest of her team would provide the other answers to the question.
One of them, Ryan Eigenmann, answered that “criminals” are among those who live in exclusive subdivisions.
“Oo, mga gated subdivision! Mga kriminal,” he said.
“Mga gumagawa ng mga modus operandi sa loob,” Dingdong chimed in, earning laughs from Cathy.
Ryan’s answer, while not exactly included in the game’s list of answers, was considered.
The actual answer was “drug lord.”
“Pero, ‘di ba, ito… hindi, hindi ko ‘to sasabihin, Dingdong, sorry,” Jaime chimed in after their competitor rejoiced.
“Hindi, okay lang,” the game master said. “Okay lang po, ano ‘yon?”
“Hindi ba ‘yung politiko tsaka ‘yung drug lord parang isa lang,” Jaime said, gesturing with his arms.
He immediately backed off from his podium as everyone on the stage laughed.
The moments were compiled in a clip by Twitter user “The Professional Heckler,” who commented that Jaime has “no chill.”
The video has earned 29,800 views and over 3,400 likes on the short-message social media platform.
The moment also earned the attention of Facebook users, with one Pinoy commenting that Jaime “chose” violence on national television.
“Ahy hala, nasabi. Natumbok mo sir,” a Facebook user wrote in response to the actor’s remark.
“Tumpak! Panalo ito!” another Pinoy exclaimed.
“Hindi lahat, pero madami, Lolo Delfin, ganern,” another Facebook user said, referencing Jaime’s character in ABS-CBN’s action teleserye, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
In the past, major drug personalities and drug labs have been found in posh or exclusive subdivisions.
Just last Friday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized 20 kilos of suspected “shabu” worth P136 million and dismantled a drug lab inside a house in Ayala Alabang Village at Muntinlupa.
Last year, a marijuana greenhouse was discovered in a posh condominium in Taguig.
In 2018, six kilos of marijuana were found in Ayala Alabang that were allegedly shipped from the United States.
The PDEA previously urged residents of high-end communities to take extra precautions every time new people enter their neighborhood following reports of drug-related activities in such areas.
“Dapat red flag nila lahat ang mga nag-re-renta sa kanilang subdivision at mag-conduct sila ng profiling kung sino mga nakatira, ano mga negosyo nito at ano ang mga ginagawa ng mga taong ito,” then-PDEA chief Aaron Aquino said.
