While others are simply reporting about the meetup of BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim and Filipino-American vlogger Bretman Rock in Hawaii, an entertainment site on Facebook took it up a notch by offering a different caption.
CinemaBravo on Thursday shared a picture of the two personalities who attended the show of Parisian fashion brand Jacquemus in Oahu, Hawaii.
The brand presented its 2022 spring collection, “Le Splash,” on the island, which is also the first time it held a fashion show outside France.
“For our first show staged outside of France, I wanted to explore unexpected locations. Hawaii stood out for its dreamy and inspiring landscapes with incredible mountains, beaches, and sea,” designer Simon Porte Jacquemus told Vogue.
“It reflects completely the mood of the collection ‘Le Splash’ that we are presenting. Also, I was convinced when Tom Kneller shot our campaign last year there. This show is a dream come true for my team and me and I hope it will be a beautiful summer escape for everyone watching the show,” he added.
The fashion show is the first far-flung catwalk since the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020.
Some of those who were spotted in the event are Bretman and Jennie.
There were several media outlets that reported about the two personalities’ encounter but it was CinemaBravo that caught Filipino netizens’ attention.
Its Facebook page shared a photo of the two with the caption:
“BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim and Fil-Am singer, songwriter, actor, actress, athlete, activist, a scientist on the muthaf**ken side, the star of ‘crystal of the day’ aye aye aye, a coconut water connoisseur, mascara master, cereal critique, the newest MTV reality star, a commercial model and the newest botanist in town Bretman Rock pose together at Simon Porte Jacquemus’ Le Splash Event in O’ahu, Hawaii.”
The post garnered a whopping number of 143,000 reactions, 32,000 shares and over 3,900 comments so far, with Filipinos noticing the description.
“Best intro so far, pang-Guinness,” a Facebook page wrote.
“Why did I read it [in] Bretman’s voice,” a Facebook user commented with a laughing-with-tears emoji.
“I strive to be introduced like that,” another online user said.
“I live for how they introduce Bret!” a different user commented with an emoji.
The introduction for Bretman was lifted from his tweet in 2020 which reads:
“It’s so hard being a singer, songwriter, actor, actress, athlete, activist, a scientist on the muthafucken side, the STAR of crystal of the day, a coconut connoisseur, mascara master, cereal critique, the newest MTV reality star a commercial model and the newest botanist in town.”
His tweet has since earned 19,400 retweets, over 2,500 quote tweets and 190,4000 likes so far.
Bretman is known for his quirky sense of humor and sassy personality.
