Filipinos are calling for content creators Bretman Rock and Mimiyuuuh to do a collaboration after the Filipino-American did the “It Really Hurts” challenge popularized by the latter amid the quarantine period.

In one of his latest Tiktok videos, the Hawaii-based beauty influencer danced to “Kabet,” a popular song of Filipino artist G*gong Rapper, following Mimiyuuuh’s moves and captioned it with reference to his Filipino roots.

“LMFAO sorry if you’re not Filipino… only baddies know DC @mimiyuuuh,” wrote Bretman.

The video made its way to Twitter when a Filipino online user shared it with the caption: “it really hurts but make it Bretman Rock the bad b**** YES.”

Bretman’s version has gained more than 210,000 views, 9,600 retweets and more than 40,000 likes on the microblogging platform as of this writing.

Filipinos who saw the video encouraged the two social media personalities to collaborate on a content, which some say “might save 2020.”

“Bretman Rock dancing to ‘It really hurts’ we need a Mimiyuuuh and Bretman collab,” wrote a Twitter user with a crying face emoji.

“Bretman Rock @bretmanrock did the It Really Hurts Challenge! This is what I have been waiting for!! COLLAB PLSSSS,” exclaimed another online user with a heart-eyed emoji as she tagged Mimiyuuuh.

“ANG CUTE!!!!!! I NEED BRETMAN & MIMIYUUUH’S COLLAB,” another Filipino wrote.

“Bretman x Mimiyuuuh please. Bring my two spirit animals together. Might save 2020,” commented another Twitter user.

Mimiyuuuh popularized the “It Really Hurts” challenge when she posted a video of herself dancing to the “Kabet” song on August 21—particularly starting with the “It really hurts” line—with a swaying body and her signature facial expression.

Her video clip has since earned more than one million views, 24,800 retweets and 130,600 likes as of this writing.

Some social media users, including actress Andrea Brillantes, TikTok personality Marvin Fojas and boy group SB19 member Josh, also made their own dance covers of “It really hurts.”

Bretman previously caught the public’s attention when he randomly tweeted some of the lyrics of “Bulaklak,” an early 2000s novelty hit of Filipino girl group Viva Hot Babes.

The tweet elated Bretman’s Filipino followers who urged him to do a dance cover of the song that was popular in local radio waves before.

Bretman is an Ilocano-born YouTube sensation who rose to fame for his quirky beauty videos where he shows off his humor and sass.
