After Kathryn Bernardo expressed that she is anticipating the next story of her “social serye” with Daniel Padilla on Twitter, its writer released a prequel titled “Around Dapitan.”
Gwy Saludes, a fan who got the attention of Bernardo for her story “Along España,” published the prequel in a Twitter thread which begins with Red (Padilla) announcing his breakup with a girl before he got into a relationship with Avery (Bernardo).
The breakup happened before “Paskuhan,” a school-wide Christmas activity held by the University of Santo Tomas.

Previously, Saludes’ “Along España” narrative was praised by Bernardo through a video. That story introduced Red and Avery as a couple.

It featured Red as a student of UST while Avery is a vlogger from De La Salle University who was “ghosted” by the former.
The narrative became viral that it reached Bernardo, who gave the writer an inspiring message to continue pursuing her passion.
“Binasa ko siya habang traffic and naaliw ako so thank you!” the actress exclaimed in a video message to Saludes.
“Excited na ako mabasa pa ‘yung next na mangyayari so, good luck and galingan mo!” Bernardo continued.
Saludes expressed how the actress’ words had helped her continue the story which was originally written when she got inspired by their research subject.
“Last month, I was questioning my capability to write. Kathryn’s video message motivated me to continue writing and exploring. Hindi niya siguro alam pero sobra-sobra ‘yung epekto niya sa akin kahit sa simpleng ganoon lang. I love her. Isa siya sa mga inspirasyon ko,” she shared in an interview before.
