Actress-model Anne Curtis-Smith apologized on social media to her fans after the float of her Film Festival entry titled “Aurora” can no longer join in the much-anticipated Parade of Stars 2018 in Paranaque City due to the downpour.

The Kapamilya star expressed how heartbroken she was for not being able to ride the float due to it being stuck in the mud at the holding area.

Curtis also tweeted a video clip of the staff’s futile attempts to free the float from the mud.

At that time, she tweeted on possibly skipping the parade because the people have been waiting too long for them.

“It’s been hours already, most of the other floats are too far ahead and it’s too hard to get the remaining floats out of the starting point. So sorry to everyone that’s waited!” Curtis said.

Surprisingly, the TV personality still pushed through as seen in photos and video clips of her delighted fans on social media.

She transferred to a black van and joined in the parade with a coat and an umbrella amid the dreary weather.

Curtis’ fourth movie this year, Aurora is a horror movie directed by celebrated director Yam Laranas. The story revolves around Leana, played by Curtis, and the unexplainable events that happened in her hometown in Batanes Island after a ship sank near it and killed everyone onboard.

All the floats representing the entries of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival initially got stuck at the holding area on December 23.

Cast members of Jack Em Popoy, Otlum and Rainbow’s Sunset were also forced to transfer to other vehicles to catch up with the rest of the floats.

The rest of the crew of Aurora, however, went straight to Aseana, the end-point of the procession.
