Philippines cash remittances up 3.2% in August

 Cash remittances rose 3.2% to $2.89 billion in August from a year ago, the Philippine central bank said on Tuesday.

Cash remittances sent through banks increased 2.9% to $22.2 billion for the first eight months of the year.
