MANILA — The Philippine government posted a P54.2 billion ($968.72 million) budget deficit PHBUD=ECI in August, the Bureau of the Treasury said on Wednesday.
It brought the year-to-date budget deficit to 697 billion pesos, narrower than the 732.5 billion pesos gap in the same period last year.
