BSP sees January inflation at 2.8%-3.6%

MANILA — Philippine inflation was likely within a range of 2.8% to 3.6% in January, the central bank said on Wednesday.

Higher prices of food, electricity and fuel were the main factors pushing prices upward this month, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said in a statement. The Philippines‘ statistics agency will release inflation data on Feb. 6.
