PCOO assistant secretary Mocha Uson earned the ire of Kris Aquino when the former uploaded a video in defense of President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kiss to a female overseas Filipino worker.

The video featured Kris’ father, former senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., being kissed by some of his female supporters after he arrived in the Philippines from a self-imposed exile.

Uson suggested that it was not just Duterte who has publicly kissed women before.

She has appeared to have deleted the post already but Kris has written her rebuttal against it on her personal Instagram account.

Asec Mocha Uson – marami akong pinalagpas. Nangako akong hindi kita papatulan – but this time you crossed the line. You reminded me of how much I hurt my mom nung buntis ako kay Josh & na-disown ako pero nung 1 month si kuya – naglakas loob akong pumunta sa Times Street & once kinarga niya 'yung apo niya – siya na 'yung pinakanagmahal sa anak kong may autism. ?????

According to her, Uson had opened wounds that had remained within her since she was 12-years-old. The “Queen of All Media” wrote:

During his visit to South Korea, Duterte kissed a female OFW which caused an uproar.

Reports quoted presidential spokesperson Harry Roque saying, “I believe an overwhelming majority of the Filipinos continue to support the President and found the kiss a light moment that is very accepted in the culture of Filipinos.”

Kris stressed that her father was the one who was kissed, not the one who initiated the act. Furthermore, the contexts of the scenarios were different.

Duterte was asking for a kiss out of “gimmick” while Aquino was being kissed by his supporters for returning to the Philippines.
