MANILA, Philippines – It’s not the campaign period yet, but officials of the province of Bataan gave the public a preview of what to expect come election season.

Governor Albert Garcia, Representative Jose Enrique Garcia, Representative Geraldine Roman and Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia whooped it up with a dance number on Thursday (February 22) to welcome Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and some 4,500 local officials who took their oath as new members of the ruling PDP-Laban.

Alvarez officiated the oath-taking ceremonies of the new additions to the administration party in Balanga City.

The dance number was not only meant to welcome the new party members, but for the push for federalism, the officials said.

Roman is on the list of possible senatorial candidates whom Alvarez wants to run in the May 2019 elections.
