MANILA, Philippines — Rains will prevail in some parts of the country Thursday as the tail-end of a cold front affects the eastern section of southern Luzon and the northeast monsoon is affecting the rest of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

In its 24-hour weather forecast, Pagasa said the Bicol and Mimaropa regions, and Quezon and Aurora provinces, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms caused by the tail-end of a cold front.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
